Edinburgh International Airport is well served by direct UK, European and international flights and is located approximately 7 miles from the hotel. From the south via the A1, A68 or A7 - Follow signs onto the city bypass (A720). Exit at Lothianburn junction onto the A702, continue on A702/Comiston Road into city for approx 3 miles. Continue along Morningside Road to Bruntsfield Place. Hotel is on the left overlooking Bruntsfield Links park.

From the north - Continue on A90 to Edinburgh, follow A90/Queensferry Road to city centre. Follow signs for A702 to Lothian Road & continue on Lothian Road to 5th set of traffic lights. Turn right onto Home Street. Hotel is approx half mile further on the right opposite Bruntsfield Links park.


Edinburgh is well served by the national rail network with all trains arriving at Edinburgh Waverley Station in the city centre. Some trains also travel to the city’s second station, Edinburgh Haymarket. Both stations are a short taxi ride to the hotel. The extensive Scottish rail network also means that out of town destinations, such as North Berwick, home to Bass Rock, or Stirling, home to Stirling Castle, are just a train ride away.


Edinburgh Trams are a convenient and easy way to get from Edinburgh Airport into the city centre, with the full route taking around 35 minutes. Stops include Murrayfield Stadium, Haymarket station and Princes Street. The trams are 100% wheelchair accessible. Tickets should be bought from the platform before boarding. When travelling from the airport, a single ticket costs £5.00, and when travelling between all other stops a single ticket costs £1.50, or £4.00 for a day ticket. Lothian Buses are the main operator of city buses within Edinburgh. The Airlink service runs from Edinburgh Airport to Waverley Bridge in the city centre. The route operates 24 hours a day and the buses include space for luggage.

The Edinburgh bus network is extensive and it remains one of the best ways to travel around the city. The services 11, 15, 16 and 23 run from the BEST WESTERN PLUS Bruntsfield Hotel to the city centre.
